A relative bought this chair at a used furniture shop.

They want to paint it white to match other items in a baby's room.

I suggested that it is a nice chair the way it is (the finish is in good shape). I also suggested that contrast is nice, and everything in the room does not have to be the same.

Should it be left the way it is?

Is it a garden variety chair, or something of value that would be compromised by painting it?

I have more detailed pictures if needed.

Thanks

Eric
