This book explains and explores in great detail the works and styles of clay works and clay workers or pottery specialists within the region of British Columbia. It contains photographs of the artist and then a brief description of their work and history coupled with some photographs depicting their pottery. A very simple and to the point reference book for collectors or BC pottery.

A survey of the ceramic wares used by Canadians in the 19th Century. The book deals with both imported and Canadian made wares, setting them against the social, economic, and artistic background of the time. It tells of how the potters of Britain vigorously built up trade with British North America and how their wares travelled to the farthest outposts of a pioneer land. Also covers the popular "Historical China", "Port n euf" and the important potters of St. Johns, Quebec.

A pictorial celebration of Canadian potters and their art. Some of Canada's most accomplished ceramic artists express in their own words their thoughts and feelings about the art, craft and business of pottery. The book depicts three Quebec potters: Gaetan Beaudin, Monique Ferron Bourbonnais and Savoie. We see the potters in their workshops. Some pieces photographed include pots and tableware, tiles and murals, ceramic sculptures and porcelain figurines.
