This looks like one of their earlier pieces when they worked in Dieppe NB - which is before the moved to Lantz NS (where they did the majority of their work). I believe 237 is the number of different Mushroom models that they produced. And I agree - the cat was found on a table at the Rose Bowl flea market - and then came back to me in Canada!
